SHABBOS MORNING YOUTH GROUPS: Shabbos morning youth groups are available for children in pre1-A through third grade; groups begin at 9:30 AM on shabbos morning and run through the conclusion of mussaf. There are separate groups for boys and girls, and the program takes place in our basement classrooms. We are excited about this year's youth groups; we have hired new group leaders and purchased new toys and games.
The Shul will provide snacks for those attending groups, and children should not bring their own food into the classrooms (Note: the Shul is not a nut-free environment; parents of children with allergies should take neccessary precautions). We have made efforts to clean the classrooms over the summer, and we urge parents to instruct their children to treat the Shul and its grounds with respect.
SHABBOS MORNING BOCHURIM/YOUTH MINYAN: Our popular youth minyan draws some 60 boys and young men each shabbos morning. The youth minyan is held on the third floor of our Shul and begins at 9:15 a.m. am. The minyan is open to boys in the fourth grade and older, and is particularly geared to boys in junior high school and older. The minyan runs until the summer, and is always in search of those willing to assist with laining, even for a selection of the weekly parsha. If you wish to assist the minyan in any respect, please send an email to youth@kbyt.org.
SHABBOS AFTERNOON PIRCHEI GROUPS: Our Shul is proud to host our community's Pirchei groups. All families in our community are encouraged to avail themselves of these special programs. As of May 11 and until the program concludes for the summer, the schedule for shabbos afternoon Pirchei groups is as follows:
Boys, Pre-1A through 3d grade, 2:45 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Shul.
